1. Working principle of multi-stage hydraulic cylinder

(1) Hydraulic oil injection and pressure transmission

Since the hydraulic oil is incompressible, the pressure of the oil will push the innermost piston outward. This process is based on Pascal's law, that is, the pressure of the liquid is evenly transmitted in a closed container.

(2) Step-by-step extension

As the innermost piston moves, the hydraulic oil will enter the next cylinder through the oil hole on the piston. Since the diameter of the next cylinder is larger, the hydraulic oil with the same pressure will produce a greater thrust, pushing the next piston outward. This process will be carried out step by step until all pistons are fully extended.

(3) Stroke control and retraction

The stroke of the multi-stage hydraulic cylinder can be precisely controlled by the control valve of the hydraulic system. When retraction is required, the hydraulic system will change the flow direction of the oil, so that the hydraulic oil will flow back from the outer cylinder to the inner cylinder step by step, and finally return to the oil tank of the hydraulic system. This process is also based on the pressure transmission of the hydraulic oil and the sealing performance of the piston.

(4) Intelligent Control
